Adenovirus (AdV)

Adenovirus is a non-enveloped, double-stranded linear DNA virus with an icosahedral capsid, belonging to the family Adenoviridae, genus Mastadenovirus in humans. With over 50 serotypes classified into subgroups A–G, it infects humans and other mammals, exhibiting tropism for distinct epithelia. It is associated with respiratory, ocular, gastrointestinal, and urinary tract infections.
