Jani Yömaa is one of the co-founders of 3PBIOVIAN and is responsible for the analytical development at the company’s Turku site. He brings over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Earlier in his career, Jani worked as a Principal Protein Scientist, where he was responsible for process development and scale-up, as well as the purification and characterization of clinical-grade therapeutic proteins.

Jani has played a central role in establishing collaborative working relationships between the Analytical Development, Research, and Quality Control departments within 3PBIOVIAN and with external CROs, driving efficiency and project success.

Jani has in-depth knowledge of ICH fundamentals and other industry guidelines supporting drug development, analytical method development, and method validation. He also possesses extensive expertise in the field of in-vitro diagnostics.

Beyond industry, Jani has contributed to the academic community by teaching Biochemistry graduate students at the University of Turku, Finland.
