
Artur Padzik is a senior technology and business leader with more than 20 years of experience in gene therapy development and advanced biologics manufacturing. He operates at the intersection of science, manufacturing, and commercial strategy.
At 3PBIOVIAN, he led the development and commercialization of the AAVion™ manufacturing platform, enabling GMP-grade AAV production for clinical programs. His work integrated Quality by Design (QbD) and Design of Experiments (DoE) principles to enhance process robustness, cost efficiency, and speed to clinic for gene therapy developers.
Earlier in his career, Artur established and expanded the Virus Vector and Genome Editing Cores at Turku Bioscience, transforming them into high-performing, innovative, and revenue-generating service units. He also managed extensive portfolios of academic and industrial projects, reinforcing his commitment to operational excellence, scientific rigor, and client satisfaction.
His expertise spans design and optimization of GMP-grade AAV processes, technical due diligence, commercial strategy in gene therapy, and building external partnerships that unlock new business opportunities.
In addition to his industry experience, Dr. Padzik has collaborated closely with Åbo Akademi University, Finland, contributing to research project development, doctoral activities, and the mentoring of undergraduate students.
