The “A Day with a Woman in Biotech” programme, led by the Spanish Bioindustry Association (AseBio), is held each year to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11). Its aim is simple: to inspire young students to explore careers in science and innovation by giving them real visibility into the sector.
In this fourth edition, 3PBIOVIAN welcomed three university students to spend a full day alongside three of our professionals.
Each student was paired with a 3PBIOVIAN host: Ximena de Andrés Orbegozo with Jesica Martínez Godfrey (Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche), Ainhoa Elizalde Ortega with Laura García Álvarez (Universidad Europea de Madrid), and Cecilia Folio Zabala with Thenesy Fernanda Peraza Hernández (Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio).
During the visit, the students explored our facilities and gained first-hand insight into our activities, while engaging in open conversations with professionals from different areas of the company.
It was a valuable two-way exchange. Our colleagues shared how their work contributes to the company’s growth and highlighted the range of career paths within the biotech industry. In turn, the students had the opportunity to ask questions and reflect on their own professional aspirations. Because science is not a single path — and there are many ways to build a career within it.
